They even got as far in the process as a screen test with DiCaprio with mixed results.

“We did a screen test that is extremely shocking. I think he must’ve been 19 by then. Likewise, from one point, he totally had it with him. All things considered, it’s magnificence,” said Mann. “He would turn his face in one course and we see a fantasy of James Dean, and subsequently he’d turn his face another bearing and it’s no, that is a little kid.”

Dignitary was 24 at the hour of his passing in 1955.

Joking about the fragmented assignment, the central set off to charge DiCaprio.

“I found the absolutely ideal showing of the play, in around quite a while from that,” he added. “[DiCaprio] intentionally fixed the James Dean bio for me.”

The 47-year-old performer once discussed the screen test in a Deadline interview in 2016.

“I did a screen test with him, I expect I was 18. It turned out wonderful well. We saw fastens of Giant, and subsequently he put me rearward of the vehicle with that farmer cap,” DiCaprio said. “In any case, I was a particularly energetic looking young person, regardless, when I was young. [Mann] decided to remain by a few years, yet I… looked genuinely young.”

Dignitary’s legacy was finally trapped in a 2001 TV film with James Franco in the gig.
